a quick check of colt catalogs from that era doesnt disclose twist rate. best bet would be to measure it with a cleaning rod with rotating handle and a tight patch.

Enjoying reading on the forum. Anyone have the rate of twist for a Colt Sauer in 7mm Mag? Thanks, Anthony

I appreciate the reply and she should be here in about 1 week & I'll check it out. Anthony
From custom to factory they run from 1:8 to 1:12. Some research shows the common twists are 1:9 ans 1:10.
My Mark X Argentine Action w/ Douglas barrel has a 1:10 (requested)
My Weatherby Vanguard has a 1:10 factory. Won this rifle on an antelope hunt in Gillette, Wyoming in the mid 70s.
My Colt/J. P. Sauer & Sohns 270 has a 1:10 twist.
