What is a Colt Monitor?
Did I miss a page in the BOCFA?
I am under the impression the Monitor was made from about 1931 until 1940, with a total production of only 125!
Has anyone present ever had the chance to see, hold, ogle, or drool over one? Where could this be done, in some very privileged museum?
Thanks!
Imp
If too wordy, tell me.

Who's the idiot that sold-off New-Amsterdam? I could have been reading this board in Dutch!
If guns are the cause of gunviolence, pens are responsible for writingerrors.
The Monitor is the Colt commercial version of the Browning BAR. Apparently you missed Page 540 of TBOCF.
By the way, I have a manual for a Monitor. Wish I had a gun to go with it!
One learns every day!
thanks.

The Texas Ranger Museum in Waco has Frank Hamer's Monitor on display.
On the "other side" of the law, "Baby Face" Nelson also had a Monitor, which was used in his final gunfight.
