There are many Ar308 out there BUT to find a Colt 9mm Ar is getting pretty hard and very
costly I'm keeping mine it makes a great training aid for the Ar line and bedside
firearm.

Asking opinions; Me, not an expert, just a gun-owning flunkie. I have a Colt 9mm Carbine Law Enforcement Model, never fired since factory-boxed. A fellow wants to trade his DPMS LR 308 B, W/Sightron 4.5-14 scope, straight-up.
I have always really wanted a .308 cal. AR, but.......Ah, you know that story.
Would this be a reasonable trade, or am I a damn-fool for even considering it?
Thanks for help! imp
If too wordy, tell me.

Just got mine about a month ago and it is the perfect companion carbine for my GLOCK 17 & 19, I was very lucky to also get 5 brand new colt 32 round mags with the trade and they were still in the shrink wrap. The rifle is a pre ban with very low round count, has all the LEO markings and was the personal rifle of a patrol officer.
Only items I have added are the SOPMOD stock, a VTAC sling and a XS Tritium front sight post.
Very satisfied in this rifle, it is accurate at realistic distances and supremely reliable.

Keep the Colt!!!!
You can also shoot the 9mm at most indoor gun ranges, and it is a lot cheeper to shoot.
I shoot mine a lot and it is a blast to shoot anywhere.
Don't be a fool. DPMS is not a Colt!
