    M4 Ops .22 Bolt Issue

Purchased a new M4 Ops in Aug and shot approx 500 rds through it with no problems. Cleaned and oiled per MFR recommendations and shot another 500 rds. Cleaned & oiled again and noticed the bolt no longer would travel all the way forward after pulling back on the charging handle and letting go. There seems to be rough spot as it always stops at a certain spot. I have to push charging handle forward to get the bolt to fully close.

Anyone else running into this problem? I attached a few pic's.

I haven't heard of this sort of problem before. I am certain it would be repaired under warranty if you don't mind sending it in. If you are mechanically inclined you could always pull the bolt out and see what it is hanging up on. I personally pulled my rifle completely apart and polished the bolt as well as lubing it with PTFE oil. It is now slick as greased owl snot! My rifle operates perfectly with a 4lb tigger pull and the functioning is flawless. If you aren't the mechanic type, then you probably should just send it in and let Umarex figure it out. Good luck either way you go.........

.22 ammo is fairly dirty even the good stuff. You might just have some
crude built up under the bolt. Try using some gun scrubber and blow dry
with an air compressor before reoiling. I have had this happen before.
Also check the spring tension on the bolt, you might want to turn it up some.

    Hey Colt M4

How did you get a 4lb trigger pull?

    Hi Mark,
Here is a link to a thread on this forum where i discussed how to achieve a nice trigger tune on these rifles. Sounds tough, but it really is simple, although a little time consuming. I can help talk you through any difficult spots if the need arises. You can do it!Colt M4 .22 target results here!
