scope mounting on M4 OPS?

I'm a new owner of a colt m4 ops 22 and asking about fixed front sight in the way of mounting scope, or not? best riser height? would really like best suggestions on getting dual sight set up without removing fixed front? halo or red dot? never used or owned one, should they line up with fixed front? sorry that's alot to chew on, but thankful for any help
