    Ch & cm ??

I found this during a search on this site:

    "What help I can be:
Colt uppers do, or did have a "CH" or a "CM" molded on the right rear of the carry handle in the thinned web area.

This stands for Colt-Hartford or Colt-Marietta.
This was where the upper was forged, in Hartford or at Marietta, Georgia."

CM = Colt Marietta??? is this correct?
I have never heard of a Marietta company that make colt parts here in Marietta.

As I recall, the raw forging was done by Martin-Marietta, which is a large defense company.
I don't think it was actually done in Marietta Georgia.
