Pictures, pictures, we want to see photos. I the past year, this is the first post on a Colt Revolving Rifle that I have seen.
Thanks
I have a Sporting Rifle version of the 1955 Military, .56 cal, 27" bbl, Flayderman 5B079. I confirmed the model by The Book of Colt Firearms by Sutherland & Wilson. My serial number is within a few digits of one illustrated. It has about 50% original blue on the receiver; cylinder and barrel patinized brown. Bore is bright like new for about 12" near the cylinder but falls on hard times toward the muzzle. The person I got it from suspected the foreend wood was not original. Looks great to me but I haven't an opportunity to compare it with a known original. Overall I call it VG.
Not much of a student of Colt long guns, I'm into pre-1911 Colt .45 autos with possibility of trade or sale of my revolving rifle. Any comments or info appreciated.![]()
