    My Root Rifle

In quite good condition. Bore EXC near the cylinder but worse further out. I'm more into Dragoons and 1905 Colt 45 Autos.

Call me strange, but I would fire it at least once. Of course keeping the offhand behind the front of the cylinder.

    Firing

I doubt the blast between the CB gap would amount to much. I have fired a 12 ga revolving shotgun and shirt sleeve gives ample protection.

We don't get to see to many of these puppies here.

    Love it.

    What's the caliber? .44 or .56?
Who's the idiot that sold-off New-Amsterdam? I could have been reading this board in Dutch!

Thank you for showing us this weapon. I don't get to see many pictures, much less an original.

    Thanks

The greater danger I would be concerned about would be chain fire, all of them going off at once might do some damage if you had a hand out front.
