Have you contacted SCI Headquarters or the Museum in Tucson, Arizona?
Also Colt is known for making Firearms for Special Interest Groups; by chance are you referring to the Grade IV Sauer's that have the Engraved Animals on the receiver?
Anyone have any information on Colt Sauers that were made for SCI?
Thanks.

Post Script: SCI has had many specialized guns made over the years that were used at the Convention in the form of Auctions and Raffles.
It is not impossible to think that you may have one of those Limited models:
COLT SAUER GRADE IV-non-rotating bolt action, manufactured in Germany by J. P. Sauer & Sohn, 24 in. barrel, 4 shot detachable mag., no sights, checkered walnut stock with rosewood forend tip and pistol grip cap, recoil pad. Mfg. 1974-1985, except has silver receiver, each caliber features a different engraved animal.

Thanks Kid.
Yes it's a grade 4 with animals - silver receiver, trigger guard & magazine.
Just looking to see if anyone knew how many were made for SCI - I'll try and check w/HQ and the museum.
Thanks.
