Welcome to the forum. They certainly don't get mentioned much. These previous threads were the only time it came up that I know for sure, although I seem to remember a picture. My older Blue Book says 100% $595, 98% $550, 95% $500, 90% 450, 80% $400, 70% $350, 60% $325, but your gun shop must know that. Someone may have a better idea than BB, but obviously they are somewhat scarce.

    Does the "Colt 57" exist?

The Colt 57 is the earliest of the 1950s Colt centerfire rifles, and I consider it the most desirable for that reason, although there are later, higher grade Coltsman (NOT the Sako-based ones) rifles in Magnum chamberings that are very desirable as well. While Colt is usually associated with handguns, these are scarce collectibles.

Standard models and deluxe (with Monte Carlo stock). I have only seen one in the last 13 years at a gun show. It was chambered in .243 and sold at the Louisville, KY show about 10 years ago for about $450. The rifle continued in production after 1958 until about 1962 but was no longer called the 1957 and it only came with a front sight. Sako actions were introduced and then all production were of a sako action after 1963. I believe it should have a lyman rear reciever sight unless it was removed for a scope. I believe someone is going to write a book about these rifles and shotguns made from 1957 to 1967. I have all 3 models of scopes for these and they were made in 2.5, 4 and 6 power.

As with anything , it's worth what someone will pay . I did a quick Google search and found this one . No takers yet at $450 .
