    6920 optics question

Just a question about mounting some optics on a 6920. Would like to know if an EOtech 517 with EOtech G23 magnifier and a Troy rear battle site would fit on the rail? Is there enough room?

    Thanks

Do you have a rail system on the rifle or stock handguards? I would think you could make it work with a rail system. I haven't had stock handguards on mine since i bought so i dont know if the stock handguards would interfere with the 517. My biggest concern would be how much clearance you have under the G23 and if the Troy would fit cleanly under it. I don't use a magnifier on my 6920. I just use a 553 and a Midwest Industries BUIS. Hope this helps.

No don't have the rail it's the stock guard. The 517 is angled so it goes over the guard. I'm pretty sure the 517 and G23 will fit OK just not sure about the Troy?

The G23 is designed for a sight to lay flat under it in the down position. I would check out AR15.com. I'm sure you could get a definite answer over there and a million opinions.

I have an EOtech 552.A65, an EOteh G23. Gen.II and a Troy folding battle sight on a 6920 and it is a perfect fit. The magnifier is a close fit with the battle sight but you can easily pass a dollar bill between the two. Hope this helps.
