What's a fair price for one of these new and how hard are they to get?

I just got the CAR A3 Elite (Colt CR6724 ) about one month ago...paid $1200 new at a local NJ Sporting Goods Shop and put a Nikon 6-18X on it....Great Shooting AR....but heavy. I just checked Colt's web site and the weapon is marked "Out of Stock".......There are several on the web auction sites going for $ 1200-$ 1300.....saw one as high as $ 1600

I just did a Google search for - colt cr6724 - and I saw a link directly to the Colt site (back door) = There is no link on the colt site but the info is still listed on their web servers and you are going directly to it by-passing their links on their home page. It's not that technical to search for another way in to get a back door entry. I use this method allot, but it sometimes takes a long time and does not always work.
