Man I am getting a little angry with colt.

Colts arms are way too expensive.

You can never find the good new colts like the 6920, or the 6940 and when you do find them my god they are 1400 to 1500 and more.

I am thinking of going with Bushmaster optic ready M4.

I want to be a loyal Colt man, but I think Colt just wants to play army and do not want to take care of Civi consumers.

Colt with you government contracts locked in you should be able to offer huge discounts to civi consumers.

Why you think you have to make people bleed to buy your rifles?

    Sham on you.

I just looked at the big auction site and the first 6920 auction I clicked on has a "buy now" at $1099.00.
It's not the only one at that price. You just have to ignore the rip-off artists who price their stuff at those crazy $1400.00+ prices.

I've got a NIB 6920 and a NIB 6721 that are just sitting and waiting for the market to come back up to those prices that you quoted. That market is not here now and it's a great time to pick up an evil black rifle. Do a little shopping and get one now for a great price.
    PISS A LIBERAL OFF.

I just paid $1099 for my Colt 6920 at CDNN ...excellent service , excellent gun and no taxes . Btw , my first 2 shots were from 100ft on my own shooting range I have , and both shots were in the bulls eye and side by side ... almost the same hole ... not only was I Super Impressed with this Gun , I was also impressed with this soon to be 50 yr old man's shooting ability !! lol , this was off hand too , no bench rest . My wife even loved shooting it too , she was amazed how easy it was to shoot .

I don't think that Colt's wholesale pricing is out of line, the really high prices (after all it is a COLT and that is a selling point to a lot of people) are the result of retailer mark-up. Retailers have almost as many reasons for their mark-up strategies as there are retailers. Some make sense and some don't. If you don't like the price, don't buy. There is no reason to be "angry" with Colt.
    Sincerely,

    Hobie

I went to a gun show about a month ago and bought one (6920) Brand new in the box with everything all papers manual clips etc. and original box for $1049. This was from a good size gun store owner who was at the show. I really like it It shoots great.
BUT I saw the same rifle at another BIG store a few weeks later that was USED! and they wanted $1700!!!!
So you have to watch out

You must not be looking hard enough. Colt AR's can be had for right around $1,000. If you're looking for Colt-level quality, but better CS you should check out BCM rifles.

Bushmaster makes garbage. I would stay away from them if I were you.

Man you guys are lucky ... they are between 2500.00 and 3K here ... I can't even imagine what a 6921 would go for up here.

    @Colt LE6920

How do you get to the conclusion that all Bushmasters are trash?
Never had a problem with mine.

Because they don't even attempt to adhere to the specs to which an M4 is supposed to be built. Here is a good discussion we had going on here a couple of months back on a similar topic: http://coltforum.com/forums/showthre...t=34332&page=2

Here's a good thread over at M4C that was posted by a Bushmaster LE dealer: http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread....ght=bushmaster

Please don't think that I was trying to insult anybody who owns/likes/works for Bushmaster. I don't believe for a second that EVERY SINGLE Bushmaster AR15 is garbage. Generally, however, they seem to be. I believe that Bushmaster is kind of like the broken clock that's right twice a day. Buying a Colt, BCM, etc. doesn't completely negate the possibility of buying a lemon either. But their higher levels of QC and the fact that they build mil-spec firearms do lessen those chances considerably.
