Without seeing and examing both firearms it is just an opinion. If the 32-20 was mine it would take a lot more than a 85% 380 to get it. Of course I really like 32-20s and Colt pumps and have a very nice Colt 380 so I am biased.

Hi,
I have a Colt .32-.20 Lightning rifle in 65% or better condition that a collector friend of mine wishes me to trade for his Colt model 1908 .380 cal auto in about 80% condition. I'm not currently up on the value of either weapon, but would like to add the .380 to my collection. I would like to know if we're in the same ballpark on this deal? I realize the difficulty in rendering an opinion on these items without seeing an example is tough, but all I'm trying to do is get a close approximate to be sure that I'm not trading away an item that is quite a bit more valuable than the one I'm trading for. Thanks in advance for your opinions.
Mike

IMHO, the 380 is as the very best worth no more than $500. , if that. Your rifle is a $800.00 piece, in the right market. Again, JMHO. I am a long time 32/20 fan, and given all the usuals, bore, etc., I would have to think I would look elsewhere for a 380 and just pay cash.![]()
Thank you gentleman,
I appreciate your honest responses. I believe I'm going to hold on to my Lightning.
