    6701 LE value

A while back I picked up a Colt 6701 LE (Limited Edition, not Law Enforcement) from a guy that came through a gun show I was set up at. I called Colt customer service to see which model I had by serial number and she said it was in fact the 6701 LE, Colt Custom Shop, which is the one of two thousand. What interested me was the lower is an early "slab side". The gun features a muzzle break and Choate (sp?) stock extenter. It has been shot, but is in very good condition. It appears to have been well taken care of, except I had to replace the rear take down pin spring, as it had been kinked. The trigger is really slick for an AR.

The left side of the receiver is marked Sporter Compitition HBAR, SN: CH 0002xx. As I said it is in VG condition, probably 95%, and I'm wondering what the real value, not book value, would be these days. I have not seen another one out there for sale, as the people who own them seem to be keeping them in their safes.
