Colt says that they are selling one. Who is making it and what do they cost?
My areas of expertise are firearms and Latin females. Not necessarily in that order.
That's what I call a real toy![]()
The Colt 1877 Bulldog Gatling Guns are being produced on a variance of Colts FFL. They are Colt firearms. They are fully functional, they will spit out 45/70 rounds as fast as you can turn the crank. They are exact replicas of the originals. Fifty of them are being produced and over half of them have been sold. There will be one on display at the Colt booth at the SHOT show in January. Stop by and say hello.
Send me an email if you have any questions about the new Colt 1877 Bulldog Gatling Gun. drobertson@mgegroup.com. I can answer any questions you may have.
And the price?Oops! I missed the earlier post!

While I am luckily at a point in life that I could buy one (and would really like and shoot it), I question why with modern manufacturing techniques, it could be made for much less. So if and when the first batch sells at 50K, what is stopping the next batch to be sold at the reduced price of say 35K. And in reality, why can't it be sold for a 10K price with 2k of that being profit? just my thoughts.

OK, a few questions. As a shooter, I would want to know that spare parts such as barrels, firing pins, extractors, ejectors and anything else that can wear out is available. Also, if these parts need specialized training and tools to replace, who would service the gun? Are you at liberty to say who excactly is assembling the guns? Is it possible to post pics of the operators manual?
While it is truely wonderful that this weapon can be produced for some to enjoy and I applaud all that made it happen, I cant see anything stopping a non Colt marked model from hitting the market at a heavily discounted price. I am guessing any patents have long expired on this design.
Are you the same MG Dave from Sarco, that sets up at Knob Creek?

I am not MG Dave from Sarco, I work for MGE Group, the distributor handling the sales of the Colt Gatling guns. I will see what I can do about an operations manual. The gun has a warranty, in that reguard, it is just another fine Colt firearm. If it needs parts or service, both would be available.
