    1968 Python - what\'s it worth ???

    been searching for a Python for occasional target shooting, just found a new in the original box, 1968 Python, 4", blue, all original, understand it was fired only in the factory when new,owner never fired...any ideas on what this revolver is worth ? thx <font color="blue"> </font>

    It would be a shame to shoot the one you describe, when super looking shooters are readily available.

    They seem to sell for $1100-$1200 or even more in the condition you describe. Some list them for even more and I guess people buy them.

    1st off "Welcome to the Colt Forum"...

    The gun as described in my opinion would be worth $1,500.00+ in this neck of the woods. What is the price you guys are talking???

    This time of year is a difficult time if you are selling, but a good time if you are in the market...

    I paid $1300 2 years ago for a NIB 1974 without papers. DVM is right (IMHO) $1500+
