    Saa 45 acp +p loads?

Does anyone here use +P loads in there SAA 45 ACP cylinders? I have used them in a S&W 325 PD with a titanium cylinder with no problems. I have not used them in any of my SAA 45 ACP Cylinders . There are alot of good choices out there for self defense and close range medium game hunting at this power level.

If I had a Single Action Army with .45 ACP capabilities I'd be willing to utilize +P ammunition, factory or hand loaded equivalent, for special purpose chores such as self defense or for some sort of hunting/field use. .45 ACP +P isn't something I'd shoot a whole lot. A modern Colt SAA would handle such loads with aplomb.

Before you try +P loads in your SAA, take a look at the thickness of the .45acp cylinder wall in the deepest part of one of the cylinder notches. It is extremely thin! The cylinder notch is directly over the chamber.

P.S. You might call Colt's about this. I would be interested to hear their official position.
