I would say 1 in about every 7 I see has not been rebuilt/refinished. Maybe- I say MAYBE, 1 in every 50 I see looks nearly as good as Hopalongs.

I know of at least one 1909, this one from my collection has had it's barrel cut to 4" at some point in it's life, but the finish is original, and it shoots to point of aim at 25 yards. Job was well done, and the muzzle was even recrowned. Here's an old pic from a bad digital camera:
