Grips Made Of American White Holly Wood

Anybody here have a grip made of American White Holly they can post a picture of?

I know they can look similar to ivory when finished but wondered how close they look to real ivory. How do they compare in appearance to paper or linen micarta grips.

I would like to get a real ivory grip for one of my revolver but the price is a little out of my league and was thinking about macarta or White Holly as subsitute.

i like them a lot. it came with black plastic checkered grips, and ruger has some white plastic imitation-ivory grips, but i really didn't like either of them very much. i had purchased a set of curly walnut grips from cary a few years ago, and saw some cool looking hollys on his website. they seem to sell almost immediately when he posts up a pair, but finally i snagged these. there are very subtle lighter white areas, and a real tight, subtle grain. these are finished in a low gloss, but i have seen high gloss ones also. they are definitely "natural" looking, and very ivory-like. the high gloss seems to bring out the grain a little more, and the lower gloss ones subdue the grain a little, and seem a little "aged" looking.
