If I had 10 grand to plunk down on something like this I would want a Kopec letter on it first.

Seller has another cool Colt and an old Starr. He has an interesting way of describing his auction items.

Nice looking piece of history there. But for $10.000. plus a Kopec Letter wouldn't be a bad idea.

He does have a way with words. I liked his effort to explain the Tom Horn's Hand Gun thing but... that kind of money on a 7 Day Gun Broker Auction is a little too out there for me.
I have bought several originals and replicas on Gun Broker and have been real lucky. I've had some great phone conversations and exchanged E Mails with some great folks wanting to sell Dad's Old Gun. But when you start talking about $10K that's the time for some serious authentication and verification. I'm not cheap, I'm just not easy.
That is a chunk of change. How do you value something like that? There's no way to tell just who owned it along the way. It is an antique but a well worn one for sure. Interesting. I wonder if the seller will get his bid.

i don't know that i'd buy any "honest and original" martial saa without letters from both kopec and colt.
I agree with Rick. That gun is overpriced by 100%+.
just another guy thinking he can get rich on guns left to him.

Why do we press harder on the buttons of a remote control when we know the batteries are dead?
This one probably could stir a cow pie quicker than a flock of hungry Barred Rocks.
