value of a Trooper Mark III 357 magnum CTG serial # J76622

I inherited a Trooper Mark III 357 magnum CTG serial number J76622...
    and have two questions-

Am I correct that this is a model year 1975 and what is the approx value of this gun?
It has never been fired but is not in the box.
    Thanks for your thoughts,

Barrel length? Blue or Nickel? Overall condition?

I just picked up a blue model for $400.00 in what I would say is 90% cond. I don't know if the nickle finish would add some.

    $1000 is a good ballpark.

Original box and papers? $1000 is pretty optimistic without them IMO.....

I agree, I would not pay more than $700. My dealer has one in 99% condition for $625
