Colt SAA Frontier Six Shooter

I ran across a Colt SAA I hadn't seen before at the gunshop yesterday. It's a nickel, 4 3/4" Colt Frontier Six Shooter, and is what seems to be a Colt Collector Association limited edition. A little checking on line indicates it was made in 1983. It has "Colt Collector Special Edition" on the right side of the barrel, a two line address on the top, and "Colt Frontier Six Shooter" on the left side of the barrel. On the frame, just above the trigger, it has "XXX of 250" stamped. It has wood grips with silver rampant Colt medallions, and the grips are checkered in a fleur de lis style. It has no box or papers with it, but appears to be unfired, and possibly even unturned.

Does this gun have any value above that of its worth as a standard, ordinary Colt? I bought it for a shooter, but am holding off until I get an appraisal of its worth. Here is a picture of a similar one I found on line.

To me it's a nice looking commemorative/limited edition, devoid of the usual yeehaw gold plating and pinstripes often found on such items.

With that said, if I were buying it I would value it as a standard configuration + the special order grips + [IF] the CFSS on the barrel is etched.

The lettering on the barrel appears to be roll marked, rather than etched. The grips are nice. Since so far, it appears that it's just a slightly nicer version of a standard gun, rather than an overly desirable collectors piece, I hope to find a mate to it at a similar price so I can have a pair.

Second matching one found and purchased. I now have a matched pair of 4 3/4" nickel SAAs from 1983, with factory fancy checkered walnut grips.
