    Your assistance is requested.

I have placed a Colt Police Positive Special, 32-20, 5" barrel, manufactured, (according to Proofhouse) in early 1930. The only drawback is the grips, stocks, handles, thingy's we hold on to to shoot the darn thing, are the MOST atrocious, homemade, supposed to be some type of "custom" target grips, that I have ever had the misfortune to observe on what I consider a very classy revolver.

Now here is my quandry, and I am so hoping the fine, upstanding, learned members of this reknown forum, - - (am I laying it on thick enough?), can assist me in demonstrating the correct aforementioned grips, stocks, handles, thingy's we hold on to to shoot the darn thing, taking into account the period of manufacture.

Now I am somewhat deficient in the area of posting photo's but I will endeavor to overcome this lack of talent when I get the situation corrected.

I truly have learned so much from our members but I realize just how much I don't know and bow to the experience of this group.

Help an old country cop out if you will.
    Yours in Service 1601

Anything you look at, you may want to make sure the stocks are for the long frame.

My PPS 32-20 had these on it. The Guta Percha rubber stocks. But mine might have a DOB in the 20s. I'll check later and let you know.

Before you order any, measure the bottom of the grip frame, front to back. The grip frame of the Police Positive Special was made latger after about 1926. The stocks shown above will fit the earlier, smaller grip frame.
