I bought two this last year.
One was like your's (1976) for $600, blued. (ETA: I'd say this gun was almost brand new, about 99 percent.)
The second (1973) was a 95 percent nickel, $550.
Hello, What's a good high ceiling range for a Trooper MK lll in .357 with 4" bbl ??? Manufacture date 1978

I'd say $650 is the upper end for a gun as you describe. Remember, there may be lots of them out there but they aren't making any more of them. It seems like folks are finally realizing what a great revolver the Trooper MkIII really is. If you buy it you won't regret it. Good luck.
