Vintage stock ID...Could they be early Roper?

I picked these up some time ago. They are a good fit on my '57 Trooper and '32 Off. Police. The backstrap on my Python is too proud on them. They have a definite vintage style. The diamond around the screw hole and checkering size remind me of Roper. They have a definite right hand palm swell. I have eliminated them as Sandersen stocks, and I just don't think they are Herrett. Your input will be appreciated.

I don't think they are Ropers, with the absence of jig holes on the inside.

Those are very, very nice vintage custom stocks and I would be as proud to have them on a Colt as Ropers. They look to be shaped nicely and I'm sure they feel terrific!

I don't think that they are Sanderson's either. They do not appear to be his style and lack the two digit numbers that Lew used. I would guess that they were made by some unknown who made them for his gun.

They're handsome grips, whatever they are, but I'd bet they're not Ropers. Too many variations from the usual patterns and no square holes from the checkering fixture.

I think they could be late Roper's when he offered a machine checkered option. Definitely not Sanderson or G&H.
