    Diamondback

Hello all. I just discovered this forum and since I'm a Colt owner(4" Diamondback). I thought i'ld join up. I would really like to hear from those of you with experience buying and selling these . I have one in 95% condition, no box or papers, no holster wear and no turn line. It has red ramp frt. sight and white outline adjustable rear. Only mod is a trigger shoe that looks like it's always been there. I've never shot it and it looks to have been shot very little.
I was just trying to get an idea of the value. I've owned it for a long time and got it on trade. If this is an inappropriate post pls forgive and pm me.Serial prefix is N077
    Thx all.

38 caliber= $800 (this was the most common configuration of the diamondback) 22 caliber=$1000. Most likely the trigger shoe is held on with 2 allen screws that when removed, will leave a little mark. If the shoe was attached so as to damage the original trigger then deduct about $100.

it amazes me of the lowball figures that are tossed around here by the avid colt collectors.....aka cheap asses that cant afford an appreciating asset.....I was just attended a gun show and all diamondbacks were priced @ $1500 or higher

Were they selling any of those $1500+ Diamondbacks? We're taking his word that it is in about 95% condition. But with no turn line, it may be nicer than that.

Yes I've seen them priced like that at gun shows too. That I had seen the same gun at several different shows, & they were still on the table suggests they might be priced just a tad too high?

so lets say your diamondback goes missing in the night by some unknown reason......how much is the insurance company going to pay? how much are you going to have to pay for the same gun.......not sure about you but I want the same or better gun and since they are not made anymore.....I guess I am going to have to go to gun show to buy it

but you guys want to try to keep the price low on this board but not one of you would sell your gun to anyone for that price...because if you are I am willing to buy
