You could try to type "Colt Bisley" with the S/N in a Google Search and see if it was ever on line ...maybe an auction. About the only way is to go backwards.
I have Bisley .38/40 shipped to Norvell Shapleigh, St. Louis, MO in 1907. I beleive the gun is from out west and am attempting to follow its trail to private ownership. Any info./suggestions out there? Thnx.

I'll give that a try, but not likely. I received from my late Uncles estate in 1974. He left no information/records. There are some engravings/notches in the hand grips and that have always sparked my interest....Thnx for the info.
