Did Colt make the Official Police with a 2" barrel in the blued finish as part of their standard product line? Saw one in an auction as new in the factory box but no photos of the end of the box so I couldn't see the label.

I'll pass on this one. What I have found is that on factory 2" barrels the words "Official" and "Police" should be on two lines. On aftermarket shortened barrels they are on the same line, as this one is.
There are pre-war and post-war versions of these short barreled OP models .... and one size doesn't fit all.
