I don't think they were 50's westerns...LOL The Holsters and Belt appear to be of different origin and then combined at some point. The Belt shows evidence of something else being sewn to the front at some point. The Loop Holsters were added so they would drop lower, as evidenced by the extra leather sewn to give length. You then see the holsters of different type skirting leather that have been flapped through a loop and then held together with the Buckle across the front of the holster.
I have seen something similar, but for the life of me I can't remember. I went through my Western Star book and didn't see any of the Famous people wearing anything like it.
Where are my memory pills anyway ?![]()

Thanks for the reply. I think I've seen pictures of military machine gunners wearing rigs like this but can't find them.
I think I saw a set like that on Gun Broker or another site saying they were Ed McGivern's and I believe they were $80k.
I like that set but I must follow my own personal policy of never paying more than $50K for a pair or $30K for a single.
Pair of Ed McGivern's Colt Officer's Model .38 Calibre Pistols Colt Double Action Revolvers- Pre-1945 for sale, gun classifieds or gun auction from Robert Beaton. Buy or bid on this Pair of Ed McGivern's Colt Officer's Model .38 Calibre Pistols in th
Only $40k... I guess I should consider the pair.
