I have an original 1860 Colt with a cylinder base pin that has been replaced sometime in its life with the wrong pin. Is there a source for an original pin or a good reproduction? One company said they have the pins but refuse to sell them because of the high return rate. They said there's a lot of fitting to be done and that they're not just a screw-in replacement so they just won't sell them anymore. Also any suggestions for removing the current one?
