Help please with a SAA auction on Gunbroker

Has anyone delt with this seller or is anyone familliar with this plan of ordering a new SAA from the Colt Custom Shop through this seller. Does he have an advantage over a single individual ordering one from Colt?

    Colt SAA Nickel 38 357 45 44-40 32-20 38-40 $1449 : Revolvers at GunBroker.com

    Thanks,

    Dave

Silt Colorado is between Glenwood Springs and Rifle, Colorado, next door to New Castle. A Bedroom community to feed workers into the Roaring Fork Valley.
That's another story though... He has a A+ rating, but you can order the gun directly from Colt and have it shipped to the nearest FFL willing to accept the transfer. Just a Thought..

Thanks for the reply. Thats' kind of what I thought. I tried to get a hold of colt today to ask them how to go about ordering and what kind of deposit they require but after several attempts waiting on the phone I gave up. Is there a secret to getting someone on the phone at Colt or a better way to order from them?

When you call ask for Brent Turchi...Request any special orders that you might want, give him your email and you will receive a formal price quote with instructions.

When You get a quote Davevall, if I may be so brash, would you share prices on a quote straight from Colt? I've been buying from a local dealer advertising NIB and coming in at the same price you saw on GBroker. Like most on the forum, I've got enough hog legs to hold me over during a long wait for another... if the price is better.

It's Not better, It's MSRP BUT you get to order it direct the way you want it. Otherwise you get what is on hand someplace else or the net.

Yeah, Actually the one from the seller on Gunbroker would be cheaper than the 2012 Colt price list I just looked at. He says he can order it custom also. He gave me a price of $ 1484.00 including shipping. Does anyone really know when these guns will be in production again?

I gotta check the '12 list. The local picks are down to what I already have or don't want as much as something else for the money. So the online guy can sell it cheaper. I guess he's cutting his profits to sell cheaper than factory direct??
