I like the revolver, and may bid if the price does not go crazy. But I'm guessing
it will.
If they pay too much for this "Bankers Special"
A refinished 1919 Police Positive Special with a post WWII Banker's Special replacement barrel with the semi ramp sight.
I guess the poor bidders don't know the Banker's used 38 Colt NP cartridge either. And, they don't recognize the longer cylinder and frame of a 38 Special PPS or DS.
This is why it's important to hang out here, learn, learn, and learn some more
Colt Bankers Special .38 Special Revolver : Revolvers at GunBroker.com
* Still, if they don't pay a lot and it's mechanically sound, it has a pretty nice nickel refinish, nice real stag stocks, and is overall attractive. Almost a Twaits gun, but his home projects are better.

I saw that and figured in the $300.00 range it wouldn't be bad. That gun shop is about 20 min. away. I wonder if they know it's a frankngun?
The barrel does say .38 Special on it though. Never mind I just went and looked again DUH! Bankers Special 38 - Not 38 Special -- Gee now I feel "special"

I suspect that Colts are not this seller's forte. Unfortunately there are bids and the damage is already done.
"The end comes no matter what, the only thing that matters is how do you wanna go out, on your feet or on your knees?".....FBI Director James Grace from "The Kingdom"
It's already over $300 this A.M.
I got the feeling the seller doesn't know either but we can't be sure. He was honest enough to mention the refinish.
This guns looks like it was professionally refinished at some point
I don't know if I would go so far as to say professionalLooks like it might be chrome and not nickel like the little PP snub I just bought. Someone took it to the local bumper rechrome shop.
$300 would be too much money in my opinion. I paid $300 for that chrome snub PP but it had perfect real MOP grips on it. This has really ugly stag which I'm not thinking is real.
Edit: On second look the Stag might be real. I'm not a big fan of Stag though. I think if anything Stag belongs on a SAA
Bout 45 min.s from me Broknaxl, might drive over n take a look. Most i'd go is 350.00, just cause it looks kinda cool![]()
45acp,because shooting twice is silly.
I bid a couple of times, but it's getting up to my limit, especially after taxes!! They did post pretty much what I told them about it being not a Bankers Special.

It is nice to see a honest seller who just didn't know what he was selling.Kinda cool frankingun but too much cash .JMHO
