Help with grip adapter for DS

Here is a list of adapters that Numrich sells...not sure I need the 7L or 7S.

    Grip Adapter, Pachmayr Model 3L

My DS looks like this one and I would love to have the same set up...pic borrowed from the forum.

Hi. That's my DS. At the moment (and until Spring) I'm going to be far away from my DS, so I can't check the grip adapter model. I "believe" it would be the 7S (small version) from my experience with these adapters.

TheDS, you will like grip adapters on a Detective Special.

FWIW, and IMHO, I think the Tyler T-grips are a much better product than the Pachmeyer grip adapters. Packys are plastic, or plastic coated, and wobbled when I tried them on a DS, did not like it, and returned the product to the seller. They fit poorly, and the plastic adapter wobbled from side to side.

Tylers are made of metal, stay in place well, and are a welcome addition to the small stocks on early DS revolvers.

I purchased some Tyler T-Grips in 2011, and they took 3 or 4 months to arrive. Following the posts, delivery times have significantly improved. Sometimes Tyler T-grips, new and used, pop up on ebay and at gunshows.

Thanks..I do use them on my j-frame and K-22...just liked the lines of the above DS...but that pachmayr grip it came with is growing on me....

I guess the medallion helps a lot....by the way, I just picked this up from my ffl yesterday. I'm quite happy with it...

Well, I'm the opposite of Collects - I like the pachmyer adapters over the Tylers. I'm just more comfortable without the finger grooves. A lot of guys don't like those rubber grips that you show, but I think they handle pretty good and are comfortable to shoot. Get one of each and see which works the best. Then sell the one you don't want on here.

I meant one of each adapter (the 7s or 7L) from Numrich.

Here's some of mine with the Pachmayr adapters - they can be kinda hard to see, but they're there.
