Not even close!
It does seem like if the finish was in that high a condition the bore would be too. The bore should shine just as much but it looks dark and I think I see some pits...
I am far from an expert, but I have a gut feeling it's been refinished?

Pitted worn Bore, tiny pits under the Plating on the Cylinder Face, reproduction and or recent Stocks...
Another 'What's wrong with this picture?' exercise...( which are always good exercises to pursue! )

Check out the nasty dark, pitted bore, the pitting on the rear face of the cylinder, the defects seen behind the loading gate, and the carbon on the blast plate and around the area where the firing pin comes through the rear of the frame (don't know the name of that part). They all show wear and age-related decay.
Nickel refinishes frequently look really great, like this one.
I do not believe the finish is original. JMHO
The guy really needs a letter. If it letters nickle/wood, it may rate a closer look. Looking closer, the caliber marking looks too far forward toward the muzzle compared to my guns of that era.
