Colt SAA 1st with "New" Cylinder Fitted

So here is my trusty Colt .45 Nickel Ivory now that it has a brand new nickel .45
Colt cylinder from USFA on it. The color of the nickel matches very well. They plate right over the steel, just like Colt did back then. ----------------------------- It did fit near perfect using the new cyl. and the old bushing and pin. I works but needs the ratchet wheel teeth trimmed a bit. Interestingly, my gun, had a blue bushing in it when I got it, and I consider that to be correct for a 1929 gun like this one that letters as nickel with ivory. -----------------------------About the cylinder, this way the gun looks so much better on display in my safe! And I don' t have to refinish the original matching numbered cylinder shown with the gun. USAF charged $185 delivered for the nickel cyl. in .45 Colt Cal. Their cyl's come in 2 diameters, original Colt size like I ordered, and their own guns usually have a +.020 oversize for greater strength. The delivery took one week from order to arrival. Nickel was flawless, not that it matters, it will match the wear on the gun better as it gets a little more beat up! I wanted it to be completely unmarked but it came with a letter "A" on the rear face. No problem, looks like an inpectors mark. Now on to some kind of box for it.........
