Very nice and they are really fun to shoot.
Hello Everyone,
I have been wanting a .22 Diamondback for awhile. I saw this one on Gunbroker last week w/ only 1 bid on it for $995.00
The pics were not well done. It looked like there was blue wear @ the muzzle and on the frame. The discription was minimal.
I got it w/ a 1K bid. I figured it was shooter-grade.
When we opened the box @ the gun shop yesterday, my LGS owner offered me $1,100.00 as soon as he saw it (I paid 1K). He said it was an easy $1,400.00 gun.
It's about a 99-1/2 % condition!!! It almost looks unfired.
As has been said befored: "Often, bad pics and a minimal description can hide a jewel!"
What looked like muzzle / finish wear must have been flash reflection of the camera. As you can see, there is no wear!
Mrs. Ultra looked at it, then asked me if it had ever been fired. Actually, that's a good question!
Serial #: R101XX From the sticky, I think it dates from 1978? Thanks for the sticky guys!
Anyways, I'm extremely pleased!I guess I got my $$ worth for 1K !

Congrats! That is a great buy and a very good find. 22 DBs are hard to find anywhere near that price. Kinda restores my faith (almost) in GB.
Congrats. I enjoy shooting mine..
Congrats on a nice gun. I would urge caution on assuming that bad pics kind hide a jewel. In your case, they did. I have bought many guns on GB over the last 3 years and my worst purchase was a pre 18 SW .22. Gun had been reblued and about 2 out of 6 shots would not fire in the cylinder. Pics were out of focus and badly lit. I have started to pass over auctions that don't have excellent pics. Just my opinion![]()
Great job getting a great deal. The Diamondback .22 is on my wish list too.
