Hey All,Boy-oh-boy, have I come across a unique delima. Here in Oklahoma....really the Okc..OklahomaCity area, there are no,none,ain 't gonna happen, 3rd generations to be found. For some reason, I like to hold and handle what I'm going to purchase. Really, I guess I'll wait until theFall/Oct.Nov. when the Tulsa Wannemacher gun show happens to purchase.Before I finish, what are some retail stores in your area, that you recommend. I'll give them a call,see what they have,maybe layaway, and see if we have a deal. I don't want shipping and using a FFL dealerto eat up what I'd pay in tax locally....but would like to know about other Colt SAA dealers. Dang, I didn't think I'd see the day getting Cuban Cigars(Cohiba) would be eaiser then getting Colt.Cohiba

I liked your post, got me to thinking! The last time I was in a gunshop that had more than one SAA was in Tucson in 1978. It was my 21st birthday and I decided to buy myself a present. Walked into a gunshop (can't remember the name) and looked at a S&W M29-2 4" blue and a Colt SAA 5.5" blue/CCH. Decided on the Colt, put down $285.00 and some change and walked out the door with a NIB Colt!
I live in northern CO, and no place up here seems to have them, except in rare circumstances and then one or two at most. Don't get to Denver much, might be different down there.

I guess we're in the age/century of the Glock. I guess the old Colt is considered the dinosaur and the Glock is the "flavor of the Century"??!!Never did like Glock, if I needed a slick 9mm, I usually bought a Sig. What gets me is; I got the money, I got the time, I'm readyto buy. Now where in the h€[[ is the pistol I want??!! Guess thats what big gunshows are for.Cohiba

My local gander mountain sells colt saa revolvers and they usually have a few in the case and i have a small military surplus store near me that also colt saa revolvers.
