Colt Single Action Army Revolver - 3rd generation peacemaker parts
Hello to all,
I am looking for a fire blue trigger for a SAA, I found screws or fire blue kits but no triggers so far!
Anyone knows where I could get one?
Thanks

Easy to do yourself, polish all the bluing off, lay it on a piece of aluminum foil on the rack in your oven, dial in 550 degrees and when it reaches the right color, take it out and let air cool, then oil. (Oven thermometers differ, so you may have to set the control to a few degrees lower or higher to get the right color). If you go to high, it will go thru the peacock blue and turn purple, if this happens, just polish it and redo.

If you try the oven method, let us know how it goes - I'd be interested in trying if it's really that easy.
That is a great idea. I'm going to file this for future reference. Thanks for the tip.

By adjusting the temperature, you can also get that beautiful golden "straw" color like my "Baby" Lugers have:
