Pictures of 1941 Detective Special

Here's a few pictures of my latest. 1941 Detective Special serial #476239. The letter has been requested. It should letter as a US Army Ordnance purchase for CID, Intelligence, Counter Intelligence, or OSS. In reality, if it letters as such it will just say it was shipped to a military base. A few were also for the Postal Service although I think those examples would have received the customary postal markings on the back strap and butt. Hopefully, I'll get lucky with the letter.

These photos were done hastily as the sun was not cooperating. I hope they are OK

Swamprat, you still have that PP 2"? I still want it...too bad about the front sight though. I wonder if a good 'smith could fill that in and make it look right?
