ID help needed for Stag Grips

I found this set of stag grips yesterday at the gun show and they were marked Ruger on the tag. They are physically the same size as the grips on my old model Blackhawk with the XR3 grip frame, but the hole for the locating pin is in the wrong place and the top of the grips are not relieved for the "ears" on the Ruger grip frame.

*These grips are marked CSA.........perhaps for "Colt Single Action"?
    *Can anyone identify the maker?
*Any idea what type of stag these may be?

I don't own any single action Colt's, so no way for me to check for fit.

Thanks for any and all help!

Good ol' Sambar stag and a great pair. The early Ruger XR3 grips were identical to 1st generation Colt grip straps. the difference were the anchor pin hole location as you mentioned and something I don't see on these. An angled cut in the grips at the top inside corner. These are invisable when the grips are on the gun. Ruger sixguns have a "tapered "step" there in their gripstraps. I'm sure these would fit an early Colt SAA (with easy modifications on the inside) which in my experience were extremely consistant.

You are correct, Mr Burp, there is no angled cut in the upper corner. The backside is completely flat on these grips.
That would seem to suggest these were never fit to a gun or used. And, since these would need to be fit to a gun, I suppose they could be fit to either a Colt or a Ruger. Would an un-fitted set negatively affect the value?

Eagle grips for a Colt SAA, made in India of Sambar Stag. Eagle grips are usually of high quality, and Sambar Stag is getting difficult to find due to the embargo imposed on it's exportation several years ago by India. Unfitted would be a plus as they could be fitted to more guns than a pair that had been previously altered for a particular gun. You can fit them to your Ruger with a little work, or sell them to a Colt owner that would be glad to have them!
