    Officers Model 38 Nickel

I just picked up a Officers Model 38 at a local gun show. SN is 4995xx. It appears to be original finish nickel, aprox. 95% or better. I am trying to get more information about this model. I have to resize my photo's to post.
I can not find any information about Officers Models in nickel. One site dated it at about 1945, is that right? Thanks in advance for your input.

Are you sure it is a Officers Model? I have never seen a nickel officers model. Nickel was available in the Official Police though.

It is an Officers Model 38. It has 2 maltese crosses on the barrel by the model roll mark. All of theroll marks are very crisp and clear so I do not believe it has been refinished. The front site is adjustable for elevation and the rear site for windage.
