    Diamondback .22 magnum?

I found a Colt Diamondback .22 listed for sale that claim it comes with an extra .22 magnum cylinder. Did Colt do that?

No. That said, rechambering an extra Diamondback .22LR cylinder to .22WMR seems to be more common that one might think. I have always thought it not wise to force a bullet .224-inch in diameter down a .222-inch bore, but apparently it does not cause any problems.

Agreed!Ruger has turned out untold #'s of single action .22 Lr / .22Mag convertible guns. With a cylinder of adequate diameter and a proper frame, the pressure increase will do no harm.

My understanding is Ruger bores their convertable barrels for the larger diameter, making them perfectly safe with the larger calibre and "adequate" for the smaller

DFrame, I didn't know that. I'll slug Ruger Single Six Convertable tonight and mike the slug. I'll post results. BTW, I got the box w/ papers thru USPS for my Diamondback today @ lunchtime

DFrame, my single six has a .222 barrel. I used Fed Auto-Match slug. my calipers are only + / - .0005 accurate. Of course that's only one gun. Regards, ultramag44
