Saw 3 Pythons for sale locally and have questions

I do not know anything about Pythons but always wanted one, back in the 70's & 80's when I was in uniform I carried S&W 19, I use to admire the Pythons but they were always outside what I could buy.

Today at a local gun shop they have three for sell, I have tried to research the prices by looking at gun auctions but the prices seem to go from one extreme to another. I was curious what the members here would say about the prices being asked for these guns. I wasn't able to record the entire serial numbers.

    1. Blue Python with 6" barrel serial number was T78???, wood checkered colt marked grips. Has been fired but appears very little, has card board box that numbers match the gun but only half of the styrofoam insert. $1800

    2. Blue Python with 4" barrel serial number was T777??, rubber colt marked grips, has been fired again very little, has card board box that numbers match but again only half the styrofoam, has Colt booklet and warranty card. $1800

    3. Nickel Python 4" barrel serial number was K something, rubber Colt marked grips, does not appear to have been fired. No box or papers $1900

Are the prices any where near what the going rate is or are they way over priced. I know without photos it is hard to give a value. Also the store owner said that if I wanted anyone of the 3 I could changes the grips from any of the other guns if I preferred a different set. Also from what part of the serial numbers I was able to get is there an approx. year for each one?

Thanks for any advice you can give.

The 6" is not overpriced, maybe top of Market value. The 2 4" Guns are priced pretty stout as well. The 4" Blued sounds like it is the highest priced of the trio. I have seen 4" Nickel guns go for $2k plus lately in unfired condition with Walnut grips. The styrofoam might be able to be found on Ebay for replacements, I don't think that would hurt the value.

All of those prices seem steep to me.

Thanks for the advice, I don't mind someone making some money but I also don't want to over pay.
