Year of manufacture might help, but the ones I have seen pre-war are stocked in walnut with medallion. My OMT in 22LR is stocked this way and are original to the gun. 1940 vintage.

Serial Number suggests it would date to late 1959.
I myself have no idea what sort of Stocks were standard on these at that time.
I think the Officers Model Target would have ended production around 1949 followed by Officers Model Special then in 1953 Officers Model Match came out until 1969.
Another oddity. The serial number as stated would date to 1950 or 1951, numbered with the Official Police & Marshal. Note that the chart entry for 1951 is a known error, so you can't tell just where the 1950/51 break is. It is a dual tone era gun, but as stated, the OMT was pretty much gone by then as the OMS started in 1949. I might suspect that the serial number was misread and is perhaps really 760563? That would make more sense. In general, the Coltwood stocks would be correct for a dual tone era OMT.![]()
