Just picked up this Trooper .357 Serial 48922 and have a couple questions for you guys. Does the screw in the frame ahead of the rear sight look strange to anyone? Possible scope mount screw? It looks like something was mounted there previously. Are the grips correct? Thanks.

Thanks. Looks like my Colt knowledge is getting better. I suspected but wanted to make sure.
Now I need to find a scope mount. Might be an interesting project.
Anyone have any pics of troopers or pythons with scopes mounted on them?
B-Square makes a scope mount that doesn't require extra drilling, but since yours is already enabled, you should have other choices. I just checked through a number of threads and find mostly info on rings that clamp on a barrel rib plus the B-Square mention.![]()
That is a good gun choice for a scope/red dot. Especially since the holes are already there.![]()
