Seems slightly steep to me unless there has been model-specific inflation in the last year. Several months ago I got a Buntline Peacemaker with box and both cylinders, almost unfired, for $650 from my LGS consignment shelf. It had sat there at $750 for six months. I would think a price in the $700-750 range would be fair to both parties.

what's your take on the box label and box/gun fit? That label looks in really really good shape, although it looks right to me

A 4.4" NIB model sold on Gun Runner Auctions last week for $770. I've seen one on GB with a starting bid of $850, and I just can't seeing paying that kind of money.

Prices on Peacemaker .22 revolvers in mint, in the box, condition have been going up lately. I don't think $850 was too much for that gun in that condition with the original box, cylinder (& cylinder box) and manual. If I had seen that at a gun show, I would have snapped it up and not even haggled on the price. Nice one!
The box and label are correct. That size box was used for the 4 3/4 (and 4.4) inch guns and for the six inch guns. The Buntline with 7 1/2 inch barrel used a longer box.

I think $850.00 is a good buy. I have seen similar ones sell upwards of a $1,000.00. I sold Mine in similar condition in May 2010 for $900.00 to a dealer here in Boise, who resold the gun. Sorry I don't know what he got, but I bet he made money. That Small yellow box for the Magnum cylinder is what you don't see very often.

I think that $850 is an okay price on the Peacemaker IF it is really NIB with box and paperwork. The NIB ones have gotten a lot more expensive relative to the ones you typically see at gun shows at about 98%.

Basically until the recent insanity ,and basically, a no confidence vote in ever seeing them again from the factory, prices have steadily risen. The rule of thumb used to be a 22 Colt Peacemaker was1/2 the price or slightly less ,than the full size SAA. Now it is a sellers market. As soon as someone pays the asking price they go up.You want it ,you pay. and that's the way it is

+1 for Lawman's comments. Gbroker is sort of like the housing market in the early 2000's. The market just kept climbing and climbing.. then all the sudden we have houses not really close to worth what was paid. I guess guns isn't quit the same though. I will stop being an economist now. That didn't make a good comparison. I did some checking on what I already had and paid just a year ago and the gentleman came down to that price. But, to Lawman's point, If two or three or four people pay a couple hundred more and base their price on what Gbroker completed auction searches reflect, then the prices get a little out of hand until some of the experienced collectors go .. hold on.. wait a minute. don't pay that much.
