Anaconda MM3080PORTED?

Hey all, I'm new to the forums and was wanting some info. I bought an 8" colt anaconda a while back that was ported. Its not really rare except for the fact that I can't find ANY other or even any info on ones that were just ported and not drilled and tapped. Has anyone come across one like this and is it a rarity. I've seen other with numbers on the box stating MM3080PDT but none that state MM3080PORTED. Thanks for any and all help. God Bless.

The PDT after the model number of MM3080 stands for Ported Drilled and Tapped. If it were Drilled and Tapped and not ported, you would just see the D & T after the model number. If the gun were a 6 inch gun, the model number is 3060 and the 4" 3040 ect. Sounds like your gun was ported after it left the factory.

That thought crossed my mind but the factory sticker on the box states MM3080PORTED? It looks like the factory 5 hole porting of the regular PDT anaconda. Could it be a custom model even though it doesnt have the elliason sights and magna porting?

Called colt today and they confirmed it came from the factory ported although the man did not know the production numbers. he also said it was the first HE had seen one. Any one else come across one of these?
