Can anyone ID this hammer to be 1st Gen, BP Frame, 1893 vintage? Has it been filed for quick action? Any issues with it? Thanks for any help.

No that's not filing for quick action,it appears that the notches were broken & someone tried to file it to make it work,that hammer is not serviceable but it is re-buildable,it can be welded & the notches can be re-built so don't throw it away.

Thanks Jim, I don't own it, was thinking of buying it but wanted to check first if it was any good and that it was native to an 1893. Think I better pass.
