The Mark III with Coltguard was a lower production model and the lowest production was the 8" version due to it's not being very popular in the 8".
A less popular gun means fewer were made, and since fewer were made, it's now a rarer gun and thus usually worth more then more popular models.
How much it's worth depends on the buyer and where it's being sold.
You can look at the finished auctions on the gun auction sites like Gunbroker to see what they've sold for.
